Welcome to Suitcase Recordings!
Suitcase Recordings is a Mobile Studio serving the greater Phoenix, AZ area, I focus on live event recording and on-location audio production.
While a large portion of the mobile recording work I do is recording albums for bands and singers, I also do live concert recording, with a focus on small to medium sized venues, such as nightclubs, coffee shops, or small theaters and churches.
My mobile recording equipment is flexible and quick to set-up and tear-down. I have experience working in very difficult acoustic environments, and working with existing sound systems.
I would generally do a location recording by setting up my rig as close to the stage as is convenient, and split the main vocal mics using transformer isolated splitters. Then I would mic the other instruments and the room directly using my own mics a preamps. This ensures the highest possible quality, with the minimum possibility of noise and interference from the house system.
