Music Licensing 101

While most of us think of selling CDs, downloads, T-shirts and playing gigs as the main sources for income, there is a lot of money to be made by licensing your music for use in tv commercials, movies, video games and so on. I'm no expert in this area, but a great site about the idustry has put together a nice list of resources for indpenedent artists wishing to license their tracks:

I recommend every musician familiarize yourself with thesee resources. In an era where it's harder and harder to sell music directly, licensing presents a nice income stream to supplement your efforts.
